While Chromatin are unpaired, Chromosomes are paired. Chromosomes are made up of DNA. Chromosomes are pair with proteins, and Chromosomes plus proteins make up the chromatin. DNA in chromatin allows mitosis and meiosis to happen, and prevent chromosomes from breaking. It also controls gene expression and DNA replication. Chromosomes work with other nucleic acids to help in cell division and the making of proteins in the cell.
