The nuclear envelope surrounds the nucleus with a double membrane. This double membrane consists of multiple holes like pores! These pores regulate things that go into to nucleus. One thing it regulates are macro-molecules such as proteins and RNA. while regulate Macro-molecules, it also give water, irons, and other small molecules free passage! The nuclear envelope acts to the nucleus as the cell membrane to the whole cell! It hold the nucleus and its contents safely inside.

The Nuclear Envelope is located around the nucleus. Hence the name, the nuclear envelope is to the nucleus as an envelope in to a note! It encloses the nucleus!
