Vacuoles main functions are to hold materials and wastes. The Central Vacuole is the largest organelle in the plants cell! Vacuole have many functions including controlling the pH in the cell, maintaining the pressure in the cell, storing water, and many more. The Vacuole work/fuse with lysosomes to release digestive enzymes. Vacuoles can be mistaken for emptiness.

Vacuole can be located anywhere in the cell! The only place they can't be is in the cell membrane or the nucleus. A vacuole organelle is usually found in all plant and fungal cells!
